to make some resolutions? This is mine.
Not only have I been meaning to get on this whole blogging/Tumble/supercool-social-media-stuff bandwagon, but I need more motivation to work out. Worth noting is that I’m not one of those girls that starts out writing this blog overweight and unfit, suddenly resolving to a new found commitment to her gym shoes and sport bra. I am reasonably active already. I try hard to get myself to the gym. I have explored different fitness classes and have found a few that I enjoy, yet there are still many that I’d like to try.
That said, I wouldn’t dare go as far as to say that I was an absolute gym bunny. I am very blessed to be able to comfortably say that I’m not “fat”, but, by no measure am I the skinniest girl at the beach. Most people would consider me average sized, and dressing correctly for my shape definitely helps the perception of my figure. Proud of my curves, yet I have always wanted to slim down to a more svelte silhouette.
As for my fitness - I find it difficult to run at pace for more than a few 10 minute bursts, gelled together with 2 minute power walks. This time last year I could run for at least 45 - 60 minutes flat. Where did that go? I have no idea. All I know is that like to get it back.
In creating this post, I aim to document my quest for thinner thighs. Ok, realistically, it is not about skinny legs. I have goals. I’m an ambitious girl. I have a fantastic life (I’ll tell you more in coming posts..), and would like to document it. I’d like to one day run a marathon. And I think that the journey to that point will be an interesting one on many counts. Stay tuned
